Get ready for the Baywood Talent Show: Space Odyssey 2015!

The talent show will be held on Sunday, March 1st at the San Mateo Center for Performing Arts with a theme of Space Odyssey: 2015. This year there will be some important changes to the show’s format. As always, each grade will have a grade act that any child may participate in. However, this year the individual acts will only be for 2nd - 5th graders, with 40 individiual acts total. Sign ups will begin December 1st. See the talent show page for more details. Questions? Contact the talent show chair, JJ Elliott, at jjelliott@jjelliott.com

Support the Baywood Auction!

Our annual auction raises nearly 50% of all the money generated by the PTA, and is critical to funding art, music, PE, computers, and science programs. This year’s theme is Mad Men, the period drama featuring the advertising industry in the 1960s. There are plenty of ways to get involved! You can attend the silent/live auction and dinner on March 21, 2015 at the Westin SFO, bid on items during the online auction from March 5 to 12, or donate an item or event to help us make our fundraising goal.

There are multiple ways to show your support through sponsorships this year, including Family Supporters, Street Champions (NEW!) for neighbors who want to sponsor the auction together, Baywood’s Kin (NEW!) for extended family and friends (like grandparents, aunts and uncles) who want to donate, and Corporate Sponsorships where you can sponsor with your own business or ask the company you work for to be a sponsor.

Don’t forget to help your kids sell raffle tickets to neighbors, family and friends before the raffle deadline on January 28. Finally, be sure to like the Baywood Auction Facebook page and find updates on the auction, fun outfit ideas and sponsor information.  The more “likes” we have the more value we can provide our sponsors.

Thank you!

Wee Care Holiday Gift Drive – THANK YOU!

The annual Wee Care collection of gifts and toys for the Samaritan House was an outstanding & successful effort on behalf of the entire Baywood community. Not even an epic rainstorm could put a damper on the giving and caring spirit of our school.

THANK YOU to all of the parents and children who brought in new toys for local families who struggle to afford toys for their family and depend on your generosity during the holidays.  Baywood collected at least 300+ toys! The Samaritan House truck driver who picked up our donations remarked that this was the largest collection from our school he’s seen!

We have a special community of ‘Neighbor Helping Neighbor’, helping many families have a brighter holiday season. Thank you for your support.

Happy Holidays!
